Denise Van Outen and James Jordan showed why they are the bookies favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing with an impressive judges score of 32 in week 2. This gave them a combined score of 57 for the first two weeks, leaving them level with Louis Smith and Flavia Cacace.
It was delight for Victoria Pendleton who bounced back from her poor performance last week to score 26 points and to soar up the leaderboard. Kimberley Walsh also scored 26, down from 28 points last week. Last week’s top performer, Lisa Riley, scored a steady but not spectacular 25.
Michael Vaughan and Nicky Byrne will certainly need telephone support from viewers as they were joint bottom of the leaderboard.
Tomorrow night should see the re-introduction of the dance off between the bottom two dancers, with the judges deciding who to keep in. Can’t wait!
