Lisa Riley and Robin Windsor missed out on a place in the Strictly Come Dancing final as they lost the dance-off with Denise Van Outen and James Jordan and went out of Strictly in week 11. This leaves the line up for the final as:
- Kimberley Walsh and Pasha Kovalev
- Dani Harmer and Vincent Simone
- Louis Smith and Flavia Cacace
- Denise Van Outen and James Jordan
It was Lisa’s first time in the bottom two and whilst she has entertained us all she was clearly the weakest of the remaining celebrities. Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman all voted to keep Denise Van Outen and James Jordan in the competition.
For Denise Van Outen and James Jordan it was their second time in two weeks that they faced the dance-off. I think it is clear that Denise does not get the viewer vote so unless this changes in the next week she has no realistic chance of winning the competition. Which is a shame as she has no more dance-training than Kimberley Walsh and Dani Harmer.
On the results show we were also treated to both a song and a dance by Katherine Jenkins.
Reviewing the rest of the finalists, Kimberley Walsh has raised her game in the last two weeks and has topped the leaderboard at the right time. If she can get the viewer vote to go with her high scores from the judges then she has a good chance of lifting the Glitterball with Pasha Kovalev.
Dani Harmer also has a good chance to win the Glitterball trophy but she will have to work hard to beat Kimberley and Denise. Dani has never been in a dance-off so she clearly has some viewer support.
Louis Smith and Flavia Cacace do not seem to be able to deliver the consistency that is needed to win Strictly Come Dancing. A lot of hard work will have to go into the next few days if Louis is to have a chance. He is certainly popular, being one of two celebrities who has never been in a dance-off.
