Denise Van Outen bounced back from last week’s poor performance with a dreamy dress and a dreamy Viennese Waltz in week 5 to score 35. It was girls on top with Kimberley Walsh and Dani Harmer in joint second place, each scoring 33. Michael Vaughan continuing his recent improvements with a score of 31 to finish fourth on the leaderboard ahead of Louis Smith on 29. Michael really seems to be taking to the ballroom dances. Let’s see how he does in the next latin dance.
Kimberley Walsh delivered a strong performance with a score of 33 despite struggling with a knee injury that hampered her rehearsals this week.
Dani Harmer impressed with her lively Jive and looks like she could be a real contender.
Louis Smith delivered a safe but not spectacular Samba which only got a 7 from his number one fan, Darcey Bussell and a 29 overall. He had been a bit off colour this week so we can forgive him not hitting the same heights of last week,
At the other end of the leaderboard Richard Arnold had a bit of a nightmare in his routine, forgetting some of it and scoring only 17. He may find himself in the dance-off again unless he pulls in the viewer votes.
Artem Chigvintsev created a bit of a stir with his shirtless routine with Fern Britton. Where did his poppy go?
Victoria Pendleton looked great but had a bit of a shaky dance as she scored 23 to finish in the bottom two on the judges leaderboard. She will need a few phone calls tonight.
